Today, I am gladly presenting you the TAG Heuer Monaco ‘Steve McQueen’ in hands-on review, as I have been wearing this great watch for couple of days.

The thing you have to know about me, while we are talking about Monaco watches is that I literally adore this collection. They have always had this ‘specific’ and distinctive design. Furthermore, its longtime motor racing heritage and beautiful history linked to Monaco collection make them so special. Regardless of personal taste, TAG Heuer Monaco is the watch you can’t call boring.

The model I am wearing is the ‘Steve McQueen’ CW2113, which is blue dial and alligator leather strap with blue subtle stitching. In my opinion, the blue option as a main colour is the best version you can go for. It just looks interesting, no matter if you sport this watch daily or on occasion – you can never get bored of this piece. The watch is elegant so you can wear it formally, but at the same time it keeps the sporty identity with its racing chronograph sub-dials and red thin hands.

 Whether it’s a plain day at the office or just a gym day, TAG Heuer Monaco will suit both well. It is a great type of watch for one-piece collection.

The watch itself, looks quite massive at first glance, but I think it’s just the illusion, because even with my slender wrists it wears really nice. The only thing I had to get used to is the square-shaped 38mm case, which feels a little bit different from a standard watch.

The watch is coupled to a alligator leather strap with folding deployment buckle. Ticking heart of Monaco CW2113 is the Calibre 17, based on ETA2892 movement. It features chronograph with central stopwatch timer hand, 30-minute indicator at 9 o’clock and small seconds at 3 o’clock. Date display is at 6 o’clock in the aperture.
