Hands-on Reviews, Panerai

Quick Look at the Panerai Radiomir Black Seal PAM00292

Exploring advantages of the ceramic case in Panerai Radiomir Black Seal PAM00292.

Some time ago, I had an interesting opportunity to look closer and test the Panerai Radiomir PAM00292 with nicely looking ceramic case. For most of the time word ‘Panerai’ reminded me about the iconic cushion-shaped cases featured in steel or titanium, but there was no question about ceramic.

At a very glance, I found the Panerai Radiomir Black Seal very attractive and practical. Its 45mm ceramic case makes the whole timepiece comfortable, almost as if you wear no watch. Black dial with iconic luminescent hour markers is unclustered, clear and legible in reading, just as you would expect for Panerai – simplicity and minimalism. Huge advantage of the ceramic case is its scratch resistance, so you don’t have to worry while using it as you daily wearer.

If I were to point out the biggest flaw of this watch, it would be the case back made of black PVD stainless steel. At some point, this black coating starts to come off, which is not a great thing.

However, this watch really impressed me. I like its stealthy look, its weight to size ratio and of course its clear in view dial.
