Glashütte Original – PanoMaticLunar

Glashütte Original - PanoMaticLunar

The German watchmaker presents new models both for men and women. Inspired by one of the most exceptional and beautiful functions in the watchmaking – moonphase.

Basically, the new 2015 models brings some more interesting and fresh look in contrast to the past 2012 models, which appeared in stainless steel case with silvered dials or matte black and red gold case matched with the silvered dial.
The latest versions look now more boldly, especially the one with the red gold case and matte black dial. The stainless steel PanoMaticLunar watch goes with the climatic dark blue dial, which recalls the night sky.

The interesting thing about the Pano line is that all watches has been given the space at 2 o’clock for the additional complications. So, everything seems to be really legible at the case with a diameter of 40mm. Nicely satin-brushed case and the polished bezel, lugs appeal to me, when combined with the
matte dial in particular.

The beauty of PanoMaticLunar watches sits inside the case, despite its design is splendid. These timepieces are brought to life by the Calibre 90-02, which is the mechanical movement with the self-winding. The mainspring provides about 42 hours of power reserve, when fully wound. It operates at 28,800 vph. Through the sapphire case back, we can see the off-centered winding rotor.

Despite the classic off-centered dial with minutes, hours and the small seconds, PanoMaticLunar is equipped with the large date display in the aperture at 4 o’clock and the main complication, namely the moon phase at 2 o’clock.

Watches come along with the matching alligator leather straps.
