Sixties models have debutted in 2007 and become really popular, especially among the fans of the vintage timepieces.
Glashütte Original with the successful collection brings back to life the sixties and design with its all remarkable details, which were characteristic to such era. Simple, but at the same time impressive elegance makes this watch that nice in look.
The Sixties model goes with the stainless steel case in a diameter of 39mm. The Panorama Date model is fitted with the same stainless steel case, but in a diameter of 42mm. Both watches have their case finely polished, so it gives an interesting light effect. A midnight blue dial is domed and applied with the eye-catching sunburst finish. The beauty is in details. Hour markers and Arabic numerals (3, 6, 9, 12) are stylised for the real vintage look. Hour and minute hands in white gold are enhanced with the luminescent coating. A date display in the Panorama Date model is presented in the big aperture at 6 o’clock. Everything is legible thanks to the smooth hands and hour markers.
The Sixties model is powered by the Calibre 39-52 movement and the Sixties Panorama Date model is brought to life by the Calibre 39-47. Both movements are automatic and feature the same power reserve, which is about 40 hours. The movements operate at 28,800 vph (4 Hz). Of course, we can find the exquisite Glashütte Original movement finishings like : bevelled edges, polished steel components and a skeletonized oscillating weight in 21K gold.
Both models are fitted with the elegant Louisiana alligator leather strap in matching colour.
