Lately, I had opportunity to test one of the best, good-looking and reasonably priced diving watches available on the market. Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 is the bigger and more massive version of its brother – Superocean Heritage 42. Beautiful blue bezel insert, combined with a matching blue sunburst dial make outstanding effect, which really pleases the eye.
Milanese bracelet – my favourite type of bracelet, when we talk about Breitling watches, it sticks comfortably to the wrist and stands out, however my only reservation to this bracelet is that sometimes it does pull my arm hair, which is rather unpleasant.
I was rather surprised when I tried the 46mm Superocean Heritage on my slender wrist and it turned out to fit my wrist perfectly. The weight is just about right, polished finish of the case and Milanese bracelet makes it look really distinctively. Almost as if it was a kind of dressy watch.
Over-sized screwed in crown complements it all and makes watch winding a fun. The watch is features with an automatic movement – Breitling 17, which power reserve is about 40 hours. The glare-proofed dial gives a very interesting impression and provides outstanding legibility, however it easily shows scratches.
The watch can be bought on the used market from £2,100 ($2,916), depending on where you live.
