First watch from the Vintage 1945 collection with the transparent sapphire dial, which enables us to see the complexity and beauty of the mechanical movement. The most compelling thing is really uncommon smoked-glass effect exerted on this dial, which gives additional vintage charm.

The movement

GP 03300-0105/0062 – self-winding mechanical movement is visible through the dial. We are accustomed to regard the movement only as a heart of the watch powering all of its complications. But, more often we can observe, that a movement acts as the additional part of the watch design. It’s good, because a movements are work of art, their complexity of the construction can be even called masterpiece equally with the external aspects of the watch. The thing, which is more interesting is that the dimensions of the movement match almost perfectly to the case, where is situated. This movement presents jumping date display, which impresses with the speed of the changing a date when it’s triggered – 5 miliseconds. Besides the small seconds at the 6 o’clock, we can see a moon-phases indicator in the same dial.

The case and a dial

Designed in the Art Deco style, presents the incredible balance of the proportions.
 It’s full of contrasts, due to steel case, indexes, time hands and the metal elements of this sophisticated movement, visible through the transparent sapphire glass. Despite the huge contrasting, the entirety seems to be harmonized. Carved 3, 9 and 12 o’clock complement the whole vintage look of this watch. It’s got to be mentioned that the case and the dial make an aesthetic harmony of perfection. The horizontal gadroons, edgy lugs and alligator strap emphasize a high elegance of this rectangularly-shaped classy timepiece.
