Today, I’d like to show you a new watches created for the RIO 2016, as the Omega is the official timekeeper.

I am quite delighted to see one of my favourite Omega chronograph watches – Mark II and the colourful Seamaster Bullhead in this special ‘RIO 2016’ edition.

OMEGA - Seamaster Bullhead 'RIO 2016'

A watch, which clearly stands out thanks to its ‘bullhead’ style of the case made of stainless steel and the blue apperance of the strap matching to the inner bezel ring. This mulit-coloured strap stitching and the time scale on the inner bezel ring represent the well-known colours of the Olympic rings. This model is limited to 316 pieces. The dimensions of 43mm x 43mm houses a Calibre 3113, which is the self-winding chronograph movement with the 52 hours of power reserve.

The front is covered with the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. At the case back we can find the characteristic motif, which is the ‘RIO 2016’ emblem. In terms of complications, there are central seconds, hours, minutes. Besides these functions, we get a two subdials including : small seconds at 6 o’clock and the 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock. Everything looks pretty legible on the white dial. Furthermore, the hour markers and hands go with the luminescent coating.

The brilliant chronograph with the big, chunky barrel-shaped case. These colourful rings visible on the three subdials are not just random. They represent three medals of Olympic champions. The small seconds decorated with a 925 silver ring, 30-minute counter with the bronze and 12-hour indicator with a precious 18k yellow gold ring. Everything set within the matt black dial, which provides the great legibility. This watch is limited to the symbolic 2016 pieces.
