Piaget Altiplano Chronograph
On the occasion of the SIHH 2015 Piaget shows a new ultra-thin watch from the iconic Altiplano colletion.
Piaget with its 25 extra-thin movements is an expert in extreme thinness. With the new Altiplano watch featuring contemporary complications included in the 883P hand-wound flyback chronograph movement , Piaget shows that is an uncomparable master and a pioneer in such section. With the case measuring 8.24mm and a movement measuring 4.65mm, the watch sets a new double slimness record. It’s a big step in the contemporary horology. It took two years to elaborate and develop this incredible 883P hand-wound flyback chronograph movement. With 50 hours of power reserve Altiplano chronograph features a chronograph with a flyback function, helping to reset the chronograph hands to zero simply by pressing a button and automatically setting a new cycle. It’s also housing small seconds at 6 o’clock, second time zone at 9 o’clock and 30 minutes counter at 3 o’clock. Everything’s included within this spectacular extra-thin movement. The additional feature about this watch is the possibility to see the whole movement through the transparent sapphire glass at the case back.
The movement visible through the case back is finished with a Circular Cotes de Geneve decorative, stylish pattern and a mainplate is engraved with the Piaget coat-of-arms. The case measuring 41mm of diameter and a dial is made in the very proportional , harmonising way. A Classic line of the watch composes very well with the chronograph dials and the whole extremely slender design. The clarity and an elegance with simplicity represent the timelessness of the Altiplano collection. This watch will enjoy the recognition among the connoiseurs of the sophisticated and classic watches.
The watch goes with a two configurations, 18K rose gold case with brown alligator leather strap and 18K white gold with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds case with black alligator leather strap.
