New Datejust Pearlmaster goes with three colouristic versions and a new size of the case – 39mm. 18K gold both white and yellow is matched with the colourful twist of the gems, which are selected by the strict criteria to use only the best quality ones that they can beautifully shine on the owner’s wrist along with the gold created in the foundry of Rolex. To be honest, I thought that the whole ‘gem-setting’ in the Pearlmaster will be too overwhelming in the reception. Despite that, the Pearlmaster doesn’t seem to be excessive at all. It keeps the perfect balance and proportions in this ‘colourful twist’ of the bezel with 48 baguette-cut sapphires.

A dial, which is beautifully set with diamonds, underlines the boldness and magnificence of the new Pearlmaster. The distinctive Oyster case with a diameter of 39mm in all three versions complements the whole creation with its timeless elegance and incredible proportions. In technical aspects, the Oyster case provides the water resistance of 100 meters with the hermetically screwed down case back and the winding crown fitted with the Twinlock double water resistance system. The highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal goes with the Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy date reading.

The waterproof Oyster case protects highly-precision self-winding Calibre 3235 mechanical movement. With its 14 patents, it provides the great performance in terms of reliability, accuracy, resistance to magnetism and shocks. The efficiency of its engineering extends the power reserve to about 70 hours. Besides the hour, minute and second functions, we get a date display in the aperture at 3 o’clock with Cyclops lens for easy read. Stop-seconds function provides the precise time setting.
