Tribute to Rolex Daytona Watches

My tribute to Rolex’s most iconic and stylish sports watch – Rolex Daytona.

I like to have a date function in watches I wear, as it’s always good to know what’s a date when you go through a busy day. Daytona watches don’t have a date display and it was my main problem with them. Though, I have realised that out of all sports models, Daytona is my favourite.

They’ve always had this elegant twist created by nicely polished case and subtle shape. The watch just sticks to the wrist perfectly and it’s of high comfort. The sporty side of a Daytona is underlined by racing numerals on a bezel with tachymeter scale and tastefully designed chronograph sub-dials. The thing I admire about Daytonas is this neat and un-clustered dial. Watchmaking brands tend to over-complicate chronograph function, making it pain in the neck to read. There’s plethora of different configurations, from which you can choose your perfect Rolex Daytona. Stainless steel, bi-metal, solid gold – this includes 18K yellow, rose or white gold. For those who want something even more luxury, there’s a Rolex Daytona 116506 in platinum. You can choose from different dial options – white, black, mother-of-pearl, champagne and even chocolate brown. Compared to other sports models, the choice is huge.

In this tribute post, I’ll show you a nice selection of Daytona watches, which I personally tried on my wrist.
