Vacheron Constantin made the 29^th edition of the SIHH all about beautiful Fine Watchmaking and emotions. At the heart of each new model presented this year lies a blend of innovation, technical excellence and artistic craftsmanship.

The scenography of the windows of the Vacheron Constantin space recreated each of the sensations evoked by the timepieces and their universe: the dizziness induced by a tourbillon, the pride of an imperial tiger, the palpitations of two-speed time, the astonishment elicited by a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar, the stunning stamina of a 14-day tourbillon and many others, were illustrated through specific stage-settings.

With the Traditionnelle Twin Beat perpetual calendar, the Maison is writing a new page in the history of watchmaking innovation. This model features a dual frequency that can be directly controlled by the wearer and extends the power reserve to at least 65 days in standby mode. The time display and calendar information are therefore never affected when the user is not wearing the watch. Two patent applications confirm the technical advancements featured in the Traditional Twin Beat perpetual calendar.

Technical excellence is also illustrated by the arrival of the first self-winding tourbillon in the Overseas collection, powered by an ultra-thin movement featuring a peripheral rotor and an 80-hour power reserve, housed in a stainless steel case. The one-of-a-kind Les Cabinotiers minute repeater perpetual calendar also added new horological complexity to the history of the Maison.

Vacheron Constantin’s cherished artistic crafts took over the one-of-a-kind Mécaniques Sauvages creations from Les Cabinotiers department. The original display of time around the rim of the dial enabled by the structure of Calibre 2460 G4 leaves ample space for the art of engraving and wood marquetry, all entirely executed by hand.

Finally, the Patrimony and Fiftysix lines welcomed new interpretations on blue dials, of which both the colour and finishing were specifically designed and personalised to match the spirit of each collection.
