The Calibre 89-02 in-house movement enables to show the time of the two time zones at once, due to the sophisticated functions harmonizing together in a really legible way. The Senator Cosmopolite timepiece includes literally everything what is needed during the travel. It offers the vast choice of 37 world time zones presented in the DST (Daylight Saving Time) and STD (Standard Time) apertures at 8 o’clock. It indicates whether DST or STD operates in the destination time zone. The each world time zone is displayed by the IATA location code showing a pivotal international airport in the zone.

From the very beginning, we are struck by the distinctive elegance of the majestic case offered in 18K red or white gold. The slight, polished bezel gives this watch an additional delicacy, which integrates very well with the varnish silver-grainé dial. Its outstanding legibility is created by contrasting engraved black numerals, railroad chapter and blued hands.
The Senator Cosmopolite watch is fitted with the new automatic Calibre 89-02 movement, which brings to life all sophisticated functions. This movement is equipped with the 72 hours of power reserve. It operates at 28,800 vph – (4 Hz). The whole mechanism consists of over 400 components. Calibre 89-02 shows the greatness of the fine German watchmaking. The complex movement, which can be easy and comfortable in use. A sapphire crystal case back is a nice addition, which through we can see the new movement with its off-centered micro rotor, Glashütte strap finish and eye-catching balance bridge engraved manually.
The dial fitted in the case with a diameter of 44mm presents the complications connected with two time zones. At 9 o’clock, we can find the destination time day/night indicator, which at the upper half shows the sun and a night sky at the lower half. The home time dial with arabic numerals is at 12 o’clock along with the power reserve display and day/night indicator. The small seconds are situated at 6 o’clock. A big Panorama Date display found its place at 4 o’clock.
Time zone indication explained :
“If heading east (forwards in time), he turns the crown at 4 o’clock clockwise until the IATA code representing the destination time zone appears in the relevant DST or STD window. If travelling west (back in time), the traveller turns the crown counter-clockwise. In both cases, the central hour and minute hands jump ahead (or back) in 15-minute intervals until the destination time zone’s IATA code appears in the relevant DST or STD window.”
