New creations will join the Glashütte Original family. Senator Perpetual Calendar and Senator Panorama Date Moon Phase look stylish with the galvanic blue dial matched with stainless steel case and dark blue alligator strap.

 

The exceptionally beautiful new blue dials of the Senator Perpetual Calendar and the Senator Panorama Date Moon Phase are crafted in Glashütte Original’s own dial manufactory in Pforzheim, Germany. Up to 40 separate operations are required to produce the refined and carefully finished “faces” of the timepieces. The dial manufactory team’s extensive experience allowed them to develop the perfectly tuned, intense blue that gives the new models their unusual allure.

To achieve the desired hue one must exercise precise control over the entire galvanic colouring process, ensuring that the tension is at the correct level, that the dial is submerged in the bath for precisely the right length of time, and that the correct distance is maintained between the elements in the bath, among other requirements.
