Jaeger-LeCoultre – Geophysic Tourbillon Universal Time

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces its most exclusive addition to the Geophysic collection. Tourbillon Universal Time showcases the watchmaking craftsmanship with refined elegance.

The exclusivity of the Geophysic Tourbillon Universal Time is underlined by its pretty massive case made of platinum. It has the 43.5mm of diameter.

The gentleness of its case is contrasted with a dial, on which there are actually many things happening. At the center point we can see the outline of the globe, corresponding really well with the main function, which is universal time (24 time zones) of course. When you look at this watch from above, you can notice that the waves are creating a great impression of convexity and depth.

The intriguing feature about this watch is the eye-catching flying tourbillon indeed. It looks as if it’s floating around. The continents moves across the central disc every 24 hours – it fully corresponds to the pace of flying tourbillon’s movement.

“The eye is then drawn to the accelerated rolling of the Gyrolab balance wheel which, in addition to its balance spring hand-crafted in the workshops of the Manufacture, features the shape of a watch anchor, the symbol of Jaeger-LeCoultre.”

The movement, which brings all functions to life is the Calibre 948 with self-winding. Besides classic hours and minutes, Tourbillon Universal Times features day/night indication, summer time indicator, universal time and small seconds indicated by flying tourbillon.
