Montblanc - Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum

In tribute to the Meisterstuck Fountain pen launched in 1924. Montblanc launches a completely new collection to celebrate its 90th anniversary. From 2015, the Heritage Spirit will be the next collection in the Montblanc family.

Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum presents a new approach of the world time function, which is one of the most sophisticated complications. The earth is the main motif, as you can see at the center of this universal watch. Orbis Terrarum is telling the time of a 24 timezones all over the world. Great tool for the travellers. An attracting thing is a massive, domed sapphire glass on a front of the watch.

Despite it looks complicated, it’s easy to use and read. The disc at the center shows a continents seen from the North Pole. Outside the dial we can see a disc showing day and night, rotating with the 24-hours mechanism. A disc with 24 cities can rotate inidividually with the button located at 8 o’clock. The local time is simply adjusted by the crown. An another interesting feature about this watch is that times of all 24 timezones can be displayed and we can see where in the world is actually night or day, by the disc coloured in white and a dark blue.
