TAG Heuer – Carrera Panamericana Special Edition

A new Carrera watch in special Panamericana edition from TAG Heuer. It is created as a tribute to the legendary race, which was inaugurated in 1950 on the Pan-american Highway in Mexico.

This race is considered as the dangerous one, because of the diversity of prevailing conditions and limited safety rules. The whole race consists of more than 3000 kilometres to pass in 8 days. It became a professional event in a really quick time.

TAG Heuer is the Official Timekeeper and Partner for the 2015 edition, which will be held this year from 16th to 22nd October. The history of the TAG Heuer brand in my opinion matches really great to the whole racing spirit and emotions accompanying, so it is completely linked with “The Ultimate Road Race”. 2015 is the first year that this race has been an international event. The Carrera Panamericana watch is the great way to promote this unique competition.

It is the classic sporty chronograph powered by the swiss quartz movement. Extra legible black dial and aluminium bezel featuring the tachometer. A chronograph functions are presented in three subdials easy to read (3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock), a date is displayed in the aperture at 4 o’clock. The stainless steel case has a 43 mm of diameter. The case back presents the exclusive Panamericana seal.

The second time instrument is the Chronograph Pocket Pro-R HL400-R. Designed for the organisers of sporting events. Three new functions dedicated to rallying enable the start to be sequenced with a countdown for the race starter, a schedule with a defined start to be consulted and a stage to be measured. In addition, the 100th of a second pocket chronometer offers standard timing modes, including Split/Lap calculation, countdown and memorisation of the day’s synchronised times.
